Description
the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers, a small subsidiary Advance / Retard dial below the XII numeral, signed 'JBaptiste, Baillon', set in a finely chased gilt bronze case with fish scale bezel and housed in a Chinese porcelain fruit bowl, surmounted by a spray of gilt branches with Meissen porcelain flowers, supported by a Chinese celadon porcelain fallow deer figure with gilt bronze collar and saddle cloth, the single barrel chain fusee timepiece movement opening from the front, the back plate further signed 'Baptiste Baillon' and 'No. 3280 A PARIS', on a fine gilt bronze openwork rocaille style base
