both Balkan Regions, each gilt and polychrome on gesso wooden panel, ink inscriptions to the reverse, the larger representing the three Fathers of the Greek Orthodox church, Basil, Ambrose and Chrysostom, the smaller icon of St Michael, each inside a glazed wooden box frame with gilt slip (2)
