Description
the 14 inch white enamel breakarch dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary second and date dials, signed ‘F Reid & Sons, Glasgow’ to the centre, the painted spandrels representing the Continents, Europe, Asia, African and America, the arch with a scene of King David and Nathan, the ebonised strung mahogany case with a broken swan neck pediment centred by a ball and eagle finial over a caddy top, the sides with oval sound frets, the rectangular trunk door with moulded edge on a square plinth base set on bracket feet, twin train weight driven movement striking a bell
