the 12 inch circular gilt painted dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary second and date dials, signed 'D Wehrle, Dundee' to the centre, blued cut steel fleur-de-lys hands, the mahogany case surmounted by a moulded cresting over a heavily bobbin moulded arched pediment, the moulded trunk with a panelled rectangular door flanked by lotus moulded quarter columns on a panelled square plinth base with bracket feet, twin train weight driven movement striking a bell
