Description
comprising a Wheildon type round box, a miniature Bristol barrel, the cover pierced with a hole, inscribed to the top with the initials ‘HLH’ and to the base ‘1837’; a Bristol round box, possibly painted by William Fifield, with flowers and the initials to the top and with a landscape view to the base; a round box, unknown maker, painted in underglaze blue, the top with insects and a foliate sprig; a round floral painted box, probably Spode, with a tartan border and gilt rims, the underside of the cover with the initials 'EL' in gilt; a small round box with floral details and dark purple rims; and a round box, unknown maker, painted to the top with flowers, with a beaded rim and within metal mounts, the base with stylised flowerhead design; no makers marks (7)
