Description
comprising a creamware oval dish, the rim with moulded swags with gilt highlights, and pierced panels, printed to the centre with fancy birds; two delft tiles, one printed with figures in a boat within a classical landscape setting, marked to the lower edge ‘J. Sadler, Liverpool’, the other printed with a scene, probably from Aesop's fables, of the foresters and the bear, within a scrolling 88 border; and a creamware tea caddy and cover, probably Cockpit Hill, printed to one side with Columbine and Harlequin, and to the reverse with sheep grazing, all unmarked (4)
