the 8 inch brass dial with silver chapter ring and Roman numerals, single pierced steel hand, signed ‘Hen Lintott, Farnham’, pierced gilt brass winged putti mask spandrels, the flat top case with moulded cornice and gilt pieced fretwork frieze, the dial flanked by Doric columns, the rectangular moulded trunk door with a circular lenticle, on a square moulded plinth base, the trunk and base decorated with black and gilt lacquer panels showing figures in a palace and garden landscape, with a weight driven movement
