the hinged shaped rectangular top inlaid with bands set with brass and abalone floral medallions, opening to a compartmented interior with drawer and covered wells with ivory knobs, the top interior with foliate marquetry and an oval mirror insert; the whole raised on fluted tapered legs united by curved stretchers centred by a platform block and urn finial, on toupie feet; the lock plate engraved DIEHL A PARIS / 19 r.
