of rectangular form with silvered banding, the hinged lid interior fitted with a crushed blue velvet backed plated easel mirror with a blue moiré silk letter pocket behind, the interior with a tray of silver mounted crystal toilette bottles with a tray of accessories below, the base with concealed watch and jewellery drawer, hallmarked for George Brace, London, 1881, with Bramah locks
