the hinged top and sides carved with fan motifs with brass handles, the fall front carved with foliate scrolls and a central urn, opening to reveal a compartmented interior with stationery dividers, fitted with black leather panel pen holders, ceramic note boards, ink pots, and a folding writing slope with black tooled and gilt leather insert; bearing an engraved maker's plate and fitted with Bramah locks
