dark brown patina, the covers with finials of the infant Bacchus, the bodies with relief scenes of revellers in a vineyard to one side and Neptune and Tellus in bullrushes opposing, flanked by pairs of vine handles, on a socle foot mounted on chamfered square black slate plinths engraved with gilt foliate designs
