one painted with a wallflower, and one painted with a scabious; within a brown rim border; one a named specimen example inscribed to the reverse 'Changeable Wallflower / Coheiranthus Mutabilis', with blue painted factory marks; the other unmarked

Marked plate with purple and yellow flower:
There are some fine crazing lines in the glaze. There are a couple of fine, slightly discoloured hairlines visible to the front and the reverse of the plate. There are some signs of rubbing and wear to the rim. Some signs of subtle spraying to the rim on the reverse of the plate. There are some blackened firing specks throughout and occasional discoloured blemishes. Some signs of general surface marks and wear commensurate with age.Unmarked plate with purple flower:
There are signs of subtle spraying to the front and back of the rim. There are some discoloured blemishes, mostly at the back. There are some signs of general surface marks and wear commensurate with age.
