Note: Alexander Mackenzie & Co. were in business from the 1850s to the 1890s, primarily supplying parquetry flooring and panelling before expanding into art furniture in the 1880s. Mackenzie's partner William Miller continued the business through the end of century operating under the name Charing Cross Cabinet Works. They panelled the Mahogany and Octagonal Salons in Glasgow's new City Chambers, and exhibited at the Glasgow International Exhibition in 1888.
