the first an alphabet sampler worked by Mary Herring, dated January 25 1793, with number and alphabet series above a field with flower pots, birds, and castle, with motto 'be kind to all' and poem 'Patterns of labour we can't want/ if we behold the busy ant', framed; a small marking sampler worked by Rebecca Baker, and inscribed 'Daughter of John Baker was born[d] February 26 1758, with initials RB, framed, 18 x 10cm; and a small spot sampler worked with flowering pots, birds, rabbit, and initials, framed, 14 x 15cm
