Note:The painting depicts the final series of J-Class races held within British waters. Endeavour was built in the United States in 1930 whilst the British produced Shamrock V for Sir Thomas Lipton. Endeavour was built by Nicholson for Sir Thomas Sopwith and Britannia was converted to J-Class for King George V.
