Description
IPB, Birmingham 1850 the whole supported on the back of an ox's forefront, the lids with engraved inscription; "To Clement Ronds Of Mount Falinge........" generally describing the origin of the Ox horns from an Ox that was roasted whole and given to the poor of Rochdale in celebration of his elevation to the office of High Sheriff on November 15th 1850 and with engraved list of subscribers to the other snuff mull lid, the points joined by a silver shield with an engraved crest and motto Semper Paratus (Always Ready)
