Footnote
Note: These cufflinks are after a design by the Pre-Raphaelite painter and jewellery designer Sir Edward Burne-Jones. Manufactured by renowned London jewellers Child & Child and signed with their trade mark - a monogram of two C's and a sunflower. The design was originally produced for the artist's own use and re-issued commercially during the 1880's. The intriguing design reflects Burne-Jones' preference for stained ivory over more valuable gem stones and features his favoured decorative heart motif.
