Footnote
The watchmaking firm Omega was founded in 1848, by Louis Brandt in Le Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The company was not originally called Omega, but changed names in 1894 with the launch of a watch model called Omega. They went on to enjoy great success and have been the official timekeepers for the Olympic Games since 1932, and suppliers of moon watches to both American and Russian astronauts.
