with import marks for London 1973, also stamped with trident motif, 750, LAPPONIA, FINLAND and BJORN, the large hollow amorphous drop with semi-textured and satin finish, suspending four graduated deep green tourmaline crystals, the whole suspended from a fancy cylindrical link chain, with plain cylindrical clasp

Correspondence with Lapponia states that the title of this piece is Arctica, design no. 20019 (no longer in production). Subsequent research suggests that the piece may be from the Lapland series, dating from the mid-1960's (ref. 'Lapponia Jewellery - International Jewellery from Finland', Kaj Kalin, Taideteollisuusmuseo Helsinki, 1990). Illustrated in 'Nuer Schmuck' by Karl Schollmayer, 1974.
