Footnote
Ernest Blyth and Frances Beck met whilst Beck was working for Andrew Grima. This brooch is an example of their range of jewellery designed for George Tarratt Ltd in the early 1960's. With accompanying correspondence from Christopher Tarratt (son of Ivan and grandson of George Tarratt). The patterns were made under licence by Deakin & Francis in Birmingham. Examples made after 1980 tend not to be signed in script and were more often die-struck rather than cast.
