of rectangular outline, with applied scroll form mounts, inscribed "L'Amour Surmonte Tout Obstacle" to a white enamelled ground, the hinged cover opens to reveal a red velvet lined fitted interior containing two mounted glass bottles, an ivory notecard, tweezers, a pencil, a bodkin and a small folding knife, with small mirror to the inside of the cover
