Note: Edinburgh born sculptor William Birnie Rhind (1853-1933), produced a large number of pieces during his prolific career. He trained under his father, John Rhind, before attending the School of Design and then the RSA. His work includes the Boer War Memorials in Edinburgh and the statue of Science on Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. He was elected ARSA in 1893, and RSA in 1905, where he exhibited regularly.
