the moulded cornice above an 11-inch brass dial with silvered Roman chapter and pierced brass spandrels, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, signed 'Robt Rike/ London' above a trunk with a long door centred by a lenticle, on a plinth base; the eight-day twin fusee movement striking a bell; inlaid throughout with strapwork and scrolling foliate marquetry
