the red tortoiseshell case with a pagoda top and outlined with gilt metal mounts, surmounted by urn finials above an arched door enclosing a brass dial with enamelled Roman numeral chapters, the ebonised rear door with a brass presentation plaque , the eight day movement striking a gong, raised on toupie feet
