Footnote
Note: Westfield House in West Lothian, Scotland, is a Georgian B listed country house dating to 1760 with later symmetrical wings added in 1820. It is thought the house was built for John West of Westfield (originally Dyke), and later acquired by John Kier in 1825, followed by Dr. Robert Young in 1864. Young famously discovered the method for extracting paraffin oil from coal. The fire surround was most likely from a main reception room at Westfield before its removal some years ago during renovation.
