Description
with a slab sided horn grip held with three iron rivets, a silver cross guard engraved with lozenge with leaves at each corner and with elongated hexagonal quillion terminals, the single edged watered steel curved blade with Islamic inscription within gold circle, gold inlaid Islamic interlace decoration at the ricasso, with a decorated raised-work black leather scabbard with two iron suspension mounts, blade 86cm, 40cm overall; together with a LARGE MUGHAL IRON AXE HEAD, early 19th century, with an Islamic inscription and some gold inlay, 83.5cm long (2)
