The pond yacht model, the 'Fleetwing' was built in the 1930s by John (Ian) Morrison, who was serving his apprenticeship with local yacht-builders James N. Miller in St Monans. In 1940 he joined the Royal Navy where he worked as a shipwright/carpenter, before he left to continue his career as a builder of both model and fishing boats in Scotland.
