the bell top with later finials to all four corners to an arched glazed door with pierced sound frets to the top corners, the sides with double pierced sound frets, the arched 7 in. gilt-brass dial with scroll and foliate spandrels, silvered chapter ring with gilt matte centre, date aperture and recessed plaque, ROBT. ALLAM/ LONDON, with strike/silent ring to arch the eight-day bell striking movement, quarter repeating with verge escapement and twin gut fusees fitted with wire, with five knopped pillars and pull quarter repeat on eight bells, the back plate with scrolled and foliate engraving, also engraved ROBT. ALLAM/ LONDON, the whole raised on a stepped base with square feet
