Note:
These hall chairs bear the crest of the Williamson family and originally stood in Whitburn Hall near Sunderland (now demolished). For many years they were on loan to the National Trust for Scotland and were used to furnish Bute House, the official residence of the First Minister of Scotland, and the Georgian House, both on Charlotte Square, Edinburgh.
