the high caddy top above a hood with blind fret carved arched frieze and brass urn and eagle finials, the pierced arch brass dial with Roman and Arabic chapters, subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and three winding holes, engraved WILLIAM GIB/ ROTTERDAM above the long trunk with an arched door with a star etched lenticle, on a plinth base raised on turned bun feet, the eight day movement striking on nine bells
