Note: Susan Douglas-Hamilton (1786-1859) (née Beckford) was the wife of the Alexander Douglas-Hamilton, the 10th Duke of Hamilton, following their marriage in 1810. She was the daughter of the novelist William Beckford. She had two children, William Hamilton, the 11th Duke of Hamilton and a daughter, Lady Susan Hamilton.
