Description
the champlevé dial signed LICHENAUER and WIRZBURG in cartouches, hours in Roman numerals, five minute intervals in arabic numerals around the outside of dial and minute marks between them, with diamond half hour marks and half quarter marks, an aperture for date is below the VI; the backplate engraved LORINZ LICHENAUER, WIRZBURG, pierced and foliate engraved English style winged cock with large foot screwed to plate and a keyhole shaped end plate; silvered regulator, figure plate numbered 10 - 60 in Arabic numerals with five divisions between them; silvered count wheel, numbered 1-12 in Arabic numerals and with a foliage centre; in a pear case with brass outer case coated to resemble tortoise-shell, with a pierced and engraved inner case, pivoted stirrup bow; the verge escapement with balance spring and plain steel balance, chain fusee, worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates, engraved spring barrels and with four Egyptian pillars; the count wheel striking on a bell screwed to the inside of the inner case
