the five pillar twin train movement, with anchor escapement, striking on a bell, the square brass dial with silver chapter ring and cast spandrels inscribed 'Jos Saer, Porpoole Lane, London', also with subsidiary seconds dial and day and date apertures, the hood with caddy top above moulded cornice and blind fretwork frieze flanked by spirally turned columns, the trunk with rectangular cushion moulded door and glazed lenticle, above a base with plinth, the whole profusely decorated with marquetry
