Provenance
Private English collection, England; acquired at an antique fair at Olympia from Michael Frances, the then owner of The Textile Gallery in Mayfair, with an original receipt dated 10th June 2002; together with a letter and research note from the gallery.

According to the research note from The Textile Gallery: “This superb section from a kesi tapestry-weave panel once formed the upper part of a chair cover…was intended to hang over the back of the chair.”
