Footnote
The iron items that Komai family decorated were produced near Kyoto, in Shigaraki (信樂 or 信楽), where one of the six ancient kilns was located. Presumably, Komai family produced the base iron objects in Shigaraki, then sent them to Kyoto for decoration in Nunome Zogan inlay technique.
