Footnote
Dragon belt hooks made of jade are more commonly found, whilst those made of coral are extremely rare. A closely comparable coral belt hook, dated to the Qing dynasty, was sold at Bonhams Hong Kong, 26 May 2013, lot 516 (part lot). Another comparable set of coral ‘dragon’ belt hook and buckle was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 6 Oct 2015, lot 58.
