finely decorated with flowering prunus branches issuing out from a blue ‘double-gourd’ vase with crackled-ice ground on stand, lower right with a four-character ‘Huan Cuiting zhi’ hall mark within a square panel, all against a textured black-lacquer ground, framed

The decorative technique of inlaying porcelain against black-lacquer ground was popular in the Qing Dynasty.
