the paper box finely carved with ten elderly scholars dressed in Chinese attire and engaged in various leisurely pursuits such as calligraphy exercise and tea tasting, the interior inlaid in abalone shell with a lakeside village scene, the writing box similarly decorated with six scholars at leisure in a mountainous landscape, the interior fitted with an inkstone (2)
