embroidered in blue and white silks with rank badges of a Mandarin duck for a seventh rank civil official, the background of the costume embroidered with floral sprays and butterflies worked in satin stitch and Peking knots, the hem with a wide lishui border decorated with peony flower heads and supporting Precious Objects, the lining of mid blue plain silk
