the rounded pear-shaped body raised on a short foot, tapering to a slender neck and a flared mouth, applied overall with a thick brownish-black glaze, the central band around the body with the glaze cut away, forming the reserve-decorated two large flower heads with leaves, the shoulder similarly carved with a band of petals, the glaze stopping neatly above the foot to reveal the buff body
