Description
清 黃花梨博古圖文房箱
of rectangular form, the hinged top carved in relief with an inscribed table screen topped with mythical beast mask accompanied by two intricate vases, the front panel mounted with engraved bat-shaped clasps, decorated with a sinuous 'Shou' character to the centre, flanked by a woven basket with Yongzheng mark and a vase tied together with a qin musical instrument, the back panel decorated with a foliated bowl on high stand and orchid growing freely in a jardinière, the side panels adorned with two crossed ruyis and set with brass loop handles, four corners mounted with brass plates
