painted and gilt with the coat of arms of Lovelace with the motto 'LABOR IPSE VOLUPTAS' (Labour itself is a pleasure), surrounded by four small cartouches enclosing objects of the 'Hundred Antiques' against a diaper ground to the cavetto, the wide rim painted with beribboned precious objects (3)

The Estate of the 5th Earl of Lovelace.
Note:
The arms are of King impaling Seys for Peter King, 1st Baron King of Ockham, and his wife Anne, daughter of Richard Seys of Boverton, Glamorgan. They married in 1704. These plates were produced circa 1726.
