Description
the domed lid painted with a cockerel and a hen beneath prunus and crysanthemums on base with brocade gilt frieze, the interior painted with sprays of blossom, the base with rouge de fer and gilt seal and impressed seal mark, 8.5cm diam.; also a circular foliate Satsuma box and cover, the lid and sides with profuse cellular ground decorated with butterflies, the interior similarly decorated, the base signed in black and gilt, 9cm diam.
