Description
of turned form with later silver mounts inscribed 'To friendship, Mirth & good Humour, ever Sacred', hallmarks undated but bearing makers marks of Thomas Phipps and Edward Robinson II (entered 1783), the cover turned with concentric circles of petal carvings surmounted by a finial, above body similarly turned, raised on spreading foot (the whole turned in several pieces which screw together)
