An extremely rare Scottish medieval Knightly sword

Description
15th century, in excavated blackened condition, the long tang surmounted by a heavy thick oval pommel, lightly fashioned quillions turned down towards the double edged blade, (of a design found on Scottish swords of the period) surviving remains of the tooled leather scabbard from the ricasso to the blade centre with the bronze chape of semi circular shape and decorated with radiating lines, with remains of an old label now illegible, the blade edge corroded consistent with age

A written statement with the sword states that from a childhood memory of the author the label stated that it was recovered from Loch Lochy, Perthshire, in 1836. and that the old label has been list with the other information regarding the find
