Description
of rectangular form, carved in the Rennaissance style, the ogee lid with central panel carved in heavy relief with autumn fruits within a border of acanthus, putto and urn motifs, the front carved with central panel of a female figure flanked by torcheres issuing leaf scrolls and grotesques, the sides carved with angels holding a cartouche, the rear panels carved with grotesque birds, masks, and fountains, the whole raised on grotesque mask front feet
