comprising of: a necklace, decorated with white, blue, red, pink and black beads, 53cm long approx.; and a belt, with similar decoration, terminating in beaded tassels to each end, 125cm long approx. (2)

Provenance: this lot was acquired by the war artist, Charles Edwin Fripp (1854-1906) when spending time in South Africa. The British-born Canadian artist spent much time during the late 19th century drawing and painting military scenes in this area, and has work exhibited in the National Army Museum in London and Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regimental Museum in Salisbury.
