the arched case with brass carrying handle, the arched plate with two dials to the arch, one for strike/silent, the other rise/fall regulation, the main dial with silvered chapter ring, Roman and Arabic numerals, the centre with visible bob pendulum, cast spandrels, the case with brass rule edge detail, all on brass ogee bracket feet, the movement with twin fusee striking on one bell, the engraved back plate marked JN. FLADGATE/ LONDON
