the three quarter gallery top over a cylinder front centred by an oval marquetry musical trophy, opening to an arrangement of drawers and pigeon holes over a sliding green leather writing surface above and arched frieze with three drawers, the centre drawer mounted with a gilt bronze relief plaque depicting musical putti; the sides with further gilt bronze relief plaques depicting putti emblematic of the arts, raised on square tapered legs ending in foliate cast gilt bronze sabots; the whole in trellis pattern parquetry and outlined in gilt bronze
