Supplied to Syston Park for Sir John Hayford Thorold, 10th Baronet (1773-1831) Lincolnshire, thence by descent to Sir John George Thorold 13th Baronet (1870-1951) who sold it to Rev. Ernest Thorold, Chaplain General to King George V and Edward VIII, and by descent to his son John Thorold and then to the current owner, John Thorold of Marston Hall, Grantham. Marston Hall has been the seat of the Thorold family since 1380.
Note: Sir John Hayford Thorold, 10th Baronet, began an ambitious remodelling of Syston Park after inheriting the estate in 1815, employing Gillows to furnish the principal ground floor rooms.
